kccwa is a locally registered, Non profit making and Non Governmental organization established in July 2001. Currently its area of operations are in Addis Ababa, North Showa zone of Amahra National Regional State including Debrebrehan Town, East showa Zone of Oromia National Regional State including Adama Town and Borena Zone of Oromia National Regional State. It has been a member of Consortium of Christian Relief and Development Association (CCRDA) since December 2004.It is signatory to charities code of conduct in Ethiopia.

Currently Kccwa has the following programs - Street Children reintegration and reunification program.
- Sponsorship Assistance for school going children.
- School material support for schooling children.
- Kindergarten service for children from destitute families.
- Children's Home.
- Women income generating (IGA )support.
- Vocational Training for youth.
- Awareness creation support.
- Support to youth football team.
